Group 9 (16 July)

Today we went to the long awaited Capitola Beach for some summer fun! After the long 2 hour car drive, we finally arrived the amazing beach with colourful house blocks. We thought it would be super hot and the sun would be burning red, but in fact it was quite cloudy. At first, it was really windy and we were quite reluctant to move around. However, the Sun finally came out and we started pumping up our fuel! We went running into the sea breeze of the ocean and enduring the ice cold sea water! We also played beach volleyball and football, it was truly an unusual experience, we never get to do this in Hong Kong! We also posed for amazing pictures as soon as the sky started clearing out, it was truly an amazing time!  

For lunch, we had options to choose lunch between Five Guys which sells burgers and Chipotle which sells nacho. The majority of us chose Five Guys. It took us a long time to choose the best burgers we want as there are a large variety of combinations. The most interesting part was the extremely long receipt. We had never seen such long receipt ever. The other people who chose Chipotle had a lot of fun too. The shop owner was so nice. He did not ask them to buy for the bill. The food was still scrumptious. We had a very good lunch. We enjoy the best food in Capitola.

We dragged our wearied bodies back to our dorms and settled down. Afterwards we had our last sign out whereby we went to the bookstore. We bought books that were on sale.  We had a stroll around the Stanford campus. The campus was huge and beautiful that makes us feel like little drawves exploring in Wonderland.  We admired at the amazing buildings around the spacious campus.  We laid on the soft green grass after playing a game of catch.  A feeling of nostalgia surged as we looked up to the blue skies.  The beautiful cloudless sky would be a rare phenomenon in Hong Kong. We walked in silence as we returned the dormitory.  The path seemed extraordinarily beautiful.  We wished that time could pause so we could stay at these great moments with all the amazing people here.
