Unlike our usual daily routine which usually involve sitting
and listening in a lecture hall, today we went to the San Francisco sightseeing
including the tour around the San Francisco city. We saw most of the
San Francisco city including spots such as the Golden Gate Bridge which happens
to be in the color called international orange and Victorian houses, the
central library, the old area which spread blues and jazz and rock'n roll and
the Walt Disney family museum. The view of San Francisco was amazing and new to us. Among all of the sights, the most interesting sight
is the Golden Gate Bridge. Since today's weather is quite unstable and the
whole bridge is covered with fog, we can't see much but the experience on the
Golden Gate Bridge is truly extraordinary. Since we were sightseeing on a double-deck
bus without shelter, when we reached the Golden Gate Bridge, the cold and face
numbing wind kept hitting our faces and we felt that our faces have been frozen
by the cold wing on the Golden Gate Bridge. One cool fact about the Golden Gate
Bridge is that it wasn't always the iconic international orange which is
basically red; it once was coved in yellow with black strips which is
hilarious. The wind speed made us feel like riding on the roller coaster. We
passed through the Chinatown. The wind was really strong when we pass through
the street. We all enjoyed the wind blowing experience. We are shocked to see
so many traditional designed buildings and also the red Chinese lanterns in
between the buildings. The road was very steep as if we were riding on the roller
coaster. It was such an exciting and memorable trip.
After the sightseeing on the tour bus, we were able to get
to Pier 39 which was a popular tourist spot and it is absolutely crowded. Pier
39 was an area next to the waterfront full of souvenir shops and other
interesting stores. We had one and a half hour to explore the pier, our group
had quite a lot of fun at the Candy stores as they are filled with all
different sorts of candies from taffy to ring pops, all sorts of candies are
available in the stores, it seemed like we were in the Willy Wonka chocolate
factory and everywhere are just filled with amazing candies. There were also
shops which sell unique items such as items made for those who are left handed.
We bought a huge bunch of candies for ourselves and our family and friends, we
had a really great time there.
