The weekend ended too
soon, and in a blink Monday was upon us. We got up, went to
breakfast, and it was once again time to go to class.
Our first class was the
continuation of the blogging class from the week previous. After a week of
daily blogging, the website was full to the brim with accounts of our
adventures from every student, in every style imaginable. Before presentation
though, we got a crash course on how to present our blogs –
including a quick session on how to breathe properly with our diaphragm. Our
instructor also introduced to us some online editing services (Google Photos)
and gave us a lecture on how to weigh information across various media so as
not to be fooled by any possible scams in the future. It was definitely
something new that we had never learnt before, and our group enjoyed it quite a
bit.
After lunch, we had our
long awaited legal studies class. A week before the lesson, we were given a
pre-course handout. The handout told us about the procedures of a trial.
Besides, we were given out a case to study before hand. We were given different
trial roles and we needed to prepare ourselves before the lesson.
In the lesson, the
teacher first gave us a brief description on the mock trial. After that, we
were given about ten minutes to prepare ourselves. During the preparation
period, we discussed about the examination questions for the witness of the
opposite side (defense’s side).
The mock trial was
spectacular and we all had a great time. However, it was a shame that our team,
the defense’s side didn’t win the mock trial. After this mock trial, we learnt
more about the processes in a trial. Moreover, we found out that teamwork is
really important, as we ought to work together in order to find ideas to object
the plaintiff’s ideas.
After the mock trial, we
went back to our residence and had tie dye. Most of our group mates were the
first time to do tie dye. It was really fun and all of us loved it. Even
though we made a big mess doing the tie dye, it was really a great experience.
