Group 10 7th July 2016

In the morning, we attended a blogging your journey class. We learnt that media is anything that conveys information which first appeared just after ice age in a valley. Firstly, we learnt about the history of media. Media is first found in the form of cave painting. We also looked at the first sculptures and coins. We learnt that paper was first developed in 105 AD Paper by Cai Lun from China which is a crucial and important discovery which enables easy writing to share information. The construction The Dome of the Rock which is made in 637 AD is fascinating to us as not only is it elegantly built, but also it holds important Christian values and contents of the third holy book written in Arabic. Secondly, we learnt specific languages and vocabulary used in media and the components of a story. What make a story interesting is the climax and the unexpected twist.  Moreover, we logged on to WordPress and wrote our first blog! It is very exciting and fascinating.
In the afternoon, we went to Cantor Art centre. Our favourite sculpture is The Thinker. Also, we had a fabulous  tour to Hoover Tower for sightseeing where we can overlook the campus of Stanford. Signing out the first time in the tour, we could explore the campus on our own and it was very relaxing. The counselors are very nice as well. We had a great day!
