Early in the morning, we woke up to see the sun shining brilliantly on us.  This was certainly a good way to start our lovely day ahead!  The day began with a Mathematical Explorations class. The instructor, Mr. Zhengyuan Zhou, taught us the nature of games and the winning strategy of certain games such as Removing Stones and Prisoner’s Dilemma .  We were surprised and awed that most games had a winning strategy that could be deduced by Mathematics.  After this lesson, we realized that our logical thinking mindset can help us develop winning strategies and also help improve our Mathematical skills.

After getting energized from the afternoon meal, relishing paella, refried beans and minced pork, we set off for the Decision Making class.  Our instructor, Professor Chris Spetzler, helped us in understating how to devise ways for decision making.  After watching a few videos about the difficulties faced by Himalayan travelers, we learnt what it takes to make right decisions despite challenges.  This session surely benefited us a lot. We will make use of this technique to make our decisions properly in the future.

After all academic activities were done for the day, in late afternoon, the most fun part of the day began. We set off for a scavenger hunt which was surely tiring but terribly exciting! We ran around the campus to take photos of iconic Stanford spots.  We especially had a blast, hopping into the fountains in such hot weather.  This was certainly a fantastic experience and we hope to go fountain-hopping and visit certain spots such as The Oval and various laboratory buildings!
