16th July, 2016

Today was the second last day of our wonderful journey. We went to the Capitola Beach in the morning. Although the weather was a bit cold today, we still enjoyed the time playing with the sand and sea. We also took a lot of photos in front of the beautiful scenery. Although our pants were all wet after that, we did not regret to do that as the memories between us were priceless. We also bought a lot of delicious candies for our family and friends in a shop nearby. We had our lunch in a fast food shop called "Five Guys" in the afternoon. We enjoyed the meal but the size of the burger was larger than we expected, we already get very full even we hadn’t finished the whole burger!
Afterwards, we had a chance to sign out and had a walk in the campus for the very last time. The four of us and other friends had a walk in the campus, and we went to the bookstore, the Meyer Green, the Law School and many other places. We had a great time hanging out together in this magnificent campus for the last time, and we had taken a lot of photos as this was a precious experience to be connected with one of the most famous universities in the world. Instead of having a proper dinner, we decided to have snacks so that we could have more time to wander around in the campus in Stanford.
When we got back to our residence, we had our last house meeting and most of us were really sad and cried as the counselors continued their speech.
We had taken photos with all of our counselors and we hoped to reconnect with them and the Stanford University as we grew up, because it has been a great experience to spend time with our counselors and they have been taking care of all of us throughout the whole trip.

Reflection
Firstly, the unexpected weather in Capitola shocked us as it was cloudy and cold while the sun was shining brightly in Stanford. When we got into the sea and the water splashed onto our feet, we all shivered and backed off. Though the weather was cold, we had so much fun taking photos on the beach and in the shallow waters. Unfortunately, one of us got hurt as some sand infected her original wound and made her very painful. Luckily, we got immediate help from both teachers and counselors. Just before we left, we picked up beautiful shells from the sand as souvenirs and this marked the end of our journey. We were all sad to leave as this was both our last field trip in the United States. We certainly would not forget the wonderful memories with our friends of these thirteen days, having lessons, going on field trips, playing ball games.
