Another fun-filled day on the weekend! Our second field trip
of the tour had us jumping with excitement.
After a long two hour bus ride, we finally made it to the much-awaited
Monterey Bay Aquarium. Built on three
storeys, the aquarium offered a huge variety of exhibits containing numerous
species such as planktons, seahorses, sharks, dolphins, octopuses and so
on. The orange colored jellyfish exhibit
especially amazed us a lot as we were mesmerized by its graceful movements,
almost as if moving in slow motion. The
adorable penguins were an absolute delight as they thrilled us with their antics.
Our photo-taking session at the man-made waterfalls was fun too.
After the visit to the aquarium, our free time stroll on the
Monterey streets was filled with much excitement too. ‘Pinkberry’, the frozen yoghurt shop, certainly
had a booming business today with all SPCS students queuing up for the
mouth-watering frozen yoghurt, brimming with delicious chocolate and berries
toppings. We also went to other shops
selling a wide variety of goods such as clothes, souvenirs, candies, chocolate,
etc. shopping for souvenirs for our friends and family. It was definitely a
very exciting day.
It seems that in a blink of an eye, the two field trips of
the weekend came to an end. Despite
getting sun burnt and drained from exhaustion, we had a lovely time and we look
forward to our next field trip!
