Group 8 Day 11

Day 11

This is our last day having lessons at Stanford. After breakfast, we head back to our dorm for visual design lesson. Today, we drew objects found in the story we made up. In our group, one of us drew the Golden Gate Bridge, one drew the city hall, another drew pier 39 and the last one drew the japanese tea garden. We enjoyed ourselves so much sketching and coloring. We loved the lesson so much. This was our last lesson here in Stanford and we are going to miss the lessons here so much.

Since it was the last lesson date and we are having another field trip tomorrow, we had a final presentation today. The groups took turns to share their favourite part of this trip. We did some sketches on different buildings such as Walt disney family museum, california academy of sciences, san francisco city hall... We expressed our feelings about the different sightseeings we came across during the bus tour. Then the directors of this programme presented certificates to everyone of us as we have all completed the summer course. At last, two students gave the thank you speech. It was touching and sad as we did not want to leave Stanford.

The highlight of today was the water balloon fight after the dinner. We had been looking forward to this event since yesterday. When we saw all the colourful balloons, we were all excited and were ready to play. We threw the water balloons at the garden in our dormitory to each other and we got all wet. Everyone were very happy and screamed a lot when playing. We were overexcited and the balloons were quickly used up. Therefore, we used cups and water bottles to fill them with water and splash to each other. We had a fun time despite our clothes and shorts got soaked and we felt very cold.

To extend our craziness, we all went to the Stanford fountain, The Claw, to have a fountain hopping. It was really a remarkable and today's most thrilling activity as we could not do that in Hong Kong public fountains. We all brought our 'weapons' like cups and plastic boxes to splash water to one another. This had revealed a completely different side of us when we were splashing water to one another crazily. We were all wet from head to body yet enjoyed the whole process. However, after the water fight, some of us had pain in their ears as water rushed into them. In the whole, it was undoubtedly an unforgettable and awesome experience for all of us and we hope to spend the rest of our days here in Stanford fruitfully.
