Today was our first field trip
during the tour. First, we took a bus to
the urban areas of San Francisco. As we drove
us towards the city, we all gazed out of the window and noticed how the landscape
of sprawling mountains and open fields slowly changed into an urban concrete jungle
of skyscrapers. Our tour around the
city began when we hopped onto a ‘City Sightseeing San Francisco’ tour
bus. The weather was warm at first, but
it soon became chilly and windy as we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge. In fact, the ride felt more like a stomach-churning
roller coaster ride! However, we had a
great time taking photos of the splendid scenery. We also got to know more about the authentic
San Francisco life as we toured around the streets of San Francisco in our open
air double decker bus. This was
certainly a memorable and unforgettable experience for us!
After the bus tour of the city
ended, we headed to Pier 39, next to the Fishermen’s Wharf. We were amazed by the gorgeous views and took
a lot of photos of the sea front. The
weather was also very breezy and we had a good time. To our surprise, there were numerous shops
at the pier, including a large variety of restaurants, souvenir shops and
boutiques. There was even an enormous
carousel, much to our excitement. We
bought chocolates, candies, T-shirts, caps, key chains and magnets and so
on. Unfortunately, we did not have the
chance to visit the Fishermen’s Wharf today.
We hope we have the chance to visit there again!
