Today was
the final day of our Stanford summer camp. Being Saturday, we had no lessons
for the day but a field trip to the famous Capitola Beach had been
organized. The weather was a little cool
and breezy and we loved it. At the beach,
it was certainly comfortable to sit down and enjoy the sound of waves under the
warmth of the sun. We hurdled together
in the cool water s and took pictures together as the waves gently lapped our
feet. Our search for shells on the beach
was successful and we took several as souvenirs. These pretty shells will surely bring back
for us sweet memories of the Capitola Beach.
After playing
at the beach, we headed to the Capitola Mall for lunch. On the high recommendation of the Stanford counselors,
we had burgers, shakes and fries at Five Guys fast food outlet. The
burgers were definitely worth all the calories that came with it! After this delicious lunch, we headed back to
the campus.
Upon our arrival back to the campus,
we were allowed sign out time, which meant we could step out of the residence
and explore the campus. Of course, we
went straight to the Stanford Bookstore to buy souvenirs.
Our two weeks at Stanford have come
to an end too fast and we cannot believe that our trip has flashed by in a
blink of an eye. Stanford is such a
marvelous place with beautiful weather and warm and friendly people. We are bound to be extremely nostalgic once
we are back home in Hong Kong.
